Voorjaar, Spring

De afgelopen tijd leek het wel zomer en de natuur voelde dat ook! De rododendrons in de tuin bloeien volop en het is een schitterend gezicht.

It seemed summer instead of spring in the Netherlands and nature felt that too! The rhododendrons in the garden are in full bloom and we have a beautiful vieuw

Met het uitzicht op de groene akker waar gerst in de wind staat te wuiven.

Ofschoon we bleekroze rodo's gekocht hebben kleuren ze altijd paars op de zandgrond.

Although we have bought pale pink rodos, they always turn purple on the sandy soil.

Bleekroze worden ze pas aan het einde van de bloeitijd.

Voor de bijen is het Luilekkerland, het is een gezoem van jewelste!

For the bees it is Luilekkerland/ Food festival, it's a buzz!

Ook de reeen hebben het naar hun zin.

The roe are also enjoying themselves.

Sinds we op de Veluwe zijn gaan wonen genieten we volop van de mooie omgeving en wandelen en fietsen er veel.

Since we started living in the Veluwe, we enjoy the beautiful surroundings and walk and cycle a lot.

Wandelen naar de Heidebloemplas.

Voor de Mandarijn eenden is het samen met de karpers goed toeven in de plas.

For the Mandarin ducks it is good to stay in the lake together with the carp.

Wandelen naar boerderij/uitspanning de Mossel in de bossen van de Noord Ginkel met bezoek van een zwijn onderweg.

Walking to farm/baiting place The Mossel in the woods of the Noord Ginkel with a visit from a swine on the way.

Op de Ginkelse Heide wordt veel geoefend door het leger.

At the Ginkelse Heide/ Ginkel Heath there is a exersice by the army.

Er komt een vonkje vrij en voor je het weet heb je het begin van een heidebrand!

A spark is released and before you know there is the beginning of a heathburn!

Door de harde wind verspreid het vuur zich razendsnel.

Because of the strong wind the fire is spreading rapidly.

De brandweer met bluswater wagens.

The fire brigade with fire fighting water cars.

 Hoge vlammen door de wind.

High flames by the wind.

 Gelukkig krijgt de brandweer het vuur onder controle.

Fortunately the fire department gets the fire under control.

And when we come home, Jan welcomes us again!

Wij vermaken ons er prima! ;-)

Edese Heide en Halloween :-)) Edese Heather and Halloween :-))

Graag maak ik s'ochtends een wandeling over de Ginkelse en Edese heide. Nu is de heide zo mooi van kleur, wandel maar mee!

I would like to take a morning walk on the Ginkel and Ede Heath. Now the heath is so beautiful of color, please walk with me!

De zon brandt al aardig op m'n rug en er zijn veel vliegtuigstrepen.

The sun is burning on my back and there are lots of aircraft stripes.

Even in de schaduw bij de schaapskooi kijken.

Ook de meeste schapen staan en liggen in de shaduw!

Most of the sheep are in the shade!

Uitgestrekte heidevelden.  Vast heathlands.

Spinnewebben op de heide.

Cobwebs on the heath.

Heerlijk koel onder de eikenbomen.

Nice and cool under the oak trees.

Dan loop ik naar de Kreelse plas. Het water is prachtig blauw en er vliegen veel libbellen in de mooiste kleuren.

Then I walk to the lake the Kreel. The water is so blue and many dragonflies fly in the most beautiful colors.

Verderop loop ik tussen de landerijen door waar de reeën over onze voetstappen lopen.

Further on I walk between farmlands  where the deer walk across our footsteps.

De laatste bramen zijn nog niet door de wandelaars en vogels opgegeten.

The last blackberries have not been eaten by walkers and birds.

Genoeg moois in de omgeving om naar toe te wandelen:-))

Iedere keer als ik hier langs loop moet ik glimlachen!

Bij het Natuur centrum de Veluwe loop ik vaak een rondje om te genieten van de bloemen en planten.

At Nature Centre the Veluwe I often walk a round to enjoy the flowers and plants.

Met veel karpers die ons oude brood heerlijk vinden.

With many carp who found our old bread delicious.

Met gele lissen en waterlelies in de zomer.

With yellow irises and water lilies in the summer.

Bij het Natuurcentrum staan leuke insekten huizen.

At Nature Centre the insects have very nice houses.

Er staan veel bijen en vlinder vriendelijke planten en ik word getrakteerd op een zwerm mooie koolwitjes.

There are many bees and butterfly-friendly plants and I am treated to a swarm of beautiful white butterflies.

WOW zo mooi!!  WOW so beautiful!!

Bij de waterpomp rust ik even uit en loop naar huis.

At the water pump I take a rest and walk home.

Thuis gekomen leg ik de laatste hand aan de kerst en Halloween patronen en ga vlug weer naar buiten om te borduren aan een nieuw patroon.

At home I do the finishing touches on the Christmas and Halloween patterns and then quickly back out to embroider on a new pattern.
